I’m Dori- A family, motherhood + maternity photographer based in York.

I grew up in North Yorkshire and I have loved photography since I got my first camera aged 14! I’ve always been the one in my own family to capture and keep memories because I can see the true value they have years down the line. My focus is on capturing the feeling over perfection.

My heart lies with Motherhood, Maternity + Family Photography in York. There's something about capturing milestone moments which bring me so much joy. It’s all I’ve ever wanted to do for ‘work’ and I pour my heart in to every session.

I love to capture those natural moments between people which aren't staged or forced. I will be in the background to freeze those precious memories and make sure you're having fun! I believe that the pictures you get are more than just photos, they tell the story of your family and journey and each one is different. Photographs aren’t just for the here and now but they’re for your children and grandchildren to look back on as memories. If not for you, do it for them.

I am based in York, but I can travel if required. I do beach, woodland, meadow and at home sessions. I know that no two families are the same which is why I love to talk before every shoot so you can get the most out of the experience, reach out to chat more and let’s create together!
